About the Honorary Chair
Patrick Jamel Crayton is a former wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL), six (6) years for the Dallas Cowboys and two (2) years for the San Diego Chargers. He played college football at Northwestern Oklahoma State where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. Patrick has been married to his wife, Najiyyah, for 12 years. The couple has 3 three children, 2 boys and one girl, ages 12, 11 and 10 respectively.
Patrick has been very busy since retirement from the NFL in 2014. He and his wife opened a private pre-school call Primrose School of South Plano as well as two Mooyah Burger restaurants where he shares ownership with one of his teammates. His next business endeavor is in the area of real estate development where he is now in the preliminary stages of seeing his first residential subdivision come to fruition. Both Patrick and his wife work with several charities in the Dallas area. Najiyyah is currently on the board of The Childcare Group of Dallas and Patrick is involved with the Lone Survivor Foundation and 22 Kill; both organizations help and support retired and wounded military.
Even in the midst of the businesses and charities that require his time, Patrick knows that family comes first. He values every moment that he spends with his children. His biggest job is supporting them in what they want to do as they navigate through life. And when time permits, Patrick, who is a big golfer, loves to go to the green.
