Food and Emergency Services have been at the core of Wilkinson Center services since our genesis at Munger Place UMC. Responding to the growth and population shifts of east Dallas, we moved our main service location in 2009 to Towne Market Center. Though we still refer to this site as the “food pantry”, it serves as our main intake point and distribution center for the majority of our client services.
The Wilkinson Center provides quality adult education to the people of east Dallas. We share a common goal of independence, self-sufficiency and self-worth with our clients. By becoming employed and independent of social services, our students discover their own dignity and make their own special contributions to a healthy, prosperous community.
Since 1998, Wilkinson Center has provided services specific to children in need. We provide a safe environment where children can experience personal growth through an integrated curriculum that develops and strengthens the educational, emotional, and physical aspects of a child’s life. Our after-school and summer camps expose students to the arts, technology, and values which foster motivation to succeed in all aspects of life.
Wilkinson Center transforms the lives of Dallas families by providing pathways to self-sufficiency with dignity and respect.
